Marisa Petraglia

Hello everyone!

My name is Marisa and I am the founder of SingingDO and JazzyBees!

Since childhood, I‘ve always felt a deep commitment to music and that singing and making music would have been a constant in my life.

I’ve spent years studying jazz, soul, and blues singing, classical piano, and solfège, and I’ve spent years performing and creating music.

Alongside being a professional singer and songwriter with a Master's in Jazz Singing at Conservatory, I implemented my competencies with a Master’s in Arts Therapy, and a Bachelor’s in Educational Sciences ( Pedagogy).

During the past years, I worked with adults, children, and young adults with mental disabilities.

I had to design my classes and adapt to circumstances to face all the challenges.

This encouraged me to seek new educational ways to express children's and adults’ creativity through music.

New ideas came one after the other and… That’s how it all started!

Music is so powerful, and by studying singing we can experience numerous physical and mental health benefits, including stress reduction, and improved mood.

That’s why I believe in the long-term well-being effects of practicing singing and music.

I am pleased to share my competencies, experiences, and ideas with you during the Singing Do and Jazzy Bees programs!
